About Us
Since 1935, Ace Spring Service has worked hard to deliver efficient and high-quality suspension services and parts manufacture and installation to semi-truck drivers passing through San Antonio and the surrounding area. Founded by J.A. “Tony” Burkholder, we are a family owned and operated shop with a 22,500-square-foot parts warehouse and a 7,500-square-foot service facility. We have six bays to ensure your truck is handled efficiently. We cater exclusively to heavy trucks and semi-trucks and do not work on cars. At our state-of-the-art shop, we can accommodate your heavy trucks, including but not limited to your Freightliner, Peterbilt, Kenworth, Mack, or Volvo trucks. We provide a comfortable waiting room with Wi-Fi for you to wait in while we perform replacements and repairs on your truck. We also accommodate drop-offs and pick-ups if that is easiest for you.

Meet The Owners
Margo and Billy are lifelong San Antonians who met while students at Edison High School. Margo is a graduate of The University of Texas at San Antonio and a retired middle school English teacher. Billy has worked at Ace since his senior year in high school and continues to operate the business. They have four children and seven grandchildren. All the children have taken turns working in the family business, and Stephen, their youngest, works as Purchasing Manager today. In retirement, Margo enjoys reading and traveling and is a fantastic cross-stitcher. Billy still works at the shop, and you can find him manning his station on the counter most days. He is a sports fan and holds season tickets to The Texans and Spurs. We are proud to give back to San Antonio by supporting our local sports teams and church. They love to spend weekends at their ranch in the Hill Country or relaxing in their favorite home away from home, New Orleans!
